LUKASHYA Member of Parliament, George Chisanga, says Patriotic Front (PF) MPs have agreed not to recognise Mafinga Member of Parliament Robert Chabinga as Leader of Opposition in Parliament.

Mr Chisanga said supporting Mr Chabinga’s appointment would mean that they are helping the speaker to breach the constitution.
He also said it will be a ploy by the ruling United Party for National Development and some unscrupulous PF MPs to weaken the former ruling party.
Mr Chisanga said the appointment of the Mafinga the lawmaker is unconstitutional and illegal and should not be supported by Zambians. He was speaking on Millennium TV programme dubbed “Millennium Tonight.”
Mr Chisanga, who is the former president of the Law Association of Zambia, warned that Mr Chabinga will one day face the wrath of the law for being involved in illegality.
He said lawmakers who are custodians of laws need to ensure that they respect the constitution to instill confidence in the Zambians.
Mr Chisanga said it is shocking that lawmakers want to indulge in lawlessness.
