NATIONAL Union for Miners and Allied Workers (NUMAW) has disclosed that the Mopani Copper Mines operations are now on track after the injection of US$80 million.
The International Resources Holding (IRH) with the shareholding of 51 percent in Mopani released the funds to pay off the contractors and suppliers the mine was owing.
In an interview, NUMAW president Saul Simujika said the contractors, whose debt had been cleared, where confident of restoring the operations of the mine which had dwindled. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
