THE European Union (EU) Election Follow-up Mission (EFM) has urged the Zambian government to accelerate the electoral reform initiatives well before the 2026 general elections to ensure a level playing field for all contestants in the next general elections in line with country’s international and regional commitments.
And the EU EFM has said while President Hakainde Hichilema is focusing most of his attention on economic issues, it was advisable that he now deliver on his pre-electoral promises adhere to the rule of law, respect of human rights, media freedom and other civil liberties. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
