A MOTHER has testified that her 14-year-old daughter was defiled and impregnated by her biological father, Zambia Air Force (ZAF) soldier, George Mulinganiza, in August last year, when she travelled to attend a funeral.
Mulinganiza, who was denied bail, is accused of sexually abusing his biological daughter.
Mulinganiza, 41, a flight sergeant stationed at Twin Palm in Lusaka, faces one count of incest under Section 159 (1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 87 of the Republican constitution.
The mother testified before Magistrate Kawama Mwamfuli that she discovered her daughter’s pregnancy on January 7, 2025, when she took her to the clinic at ZAF Twin Palm.
At the clinic, the daughter revealed to the Doctors that her father had impregnated her, and the pregnancy was 23 weeks old, conceived in August.
The mother stated that she was not home in August, as she had attended a funeral, leaving her husband, Mulinganiza, in Lusaka.
The mother also mentioned that she did not notice her daughter’s pregnancy earlier due to her small body size. The case has been adjourned to April 1, 2025, for continuation of the trial.
