Beware saboteurs are out there

Editor,

The bringing down of Zesco power pylon in Kafue should be taken seriously by government because an opposition party isΒ  intent to wrestle power from the PF government using whatever means at its disposal. The cartel is also active by sponsoring these acts using the money it plundered from the so-called Task Force on Corruption. The rest you know.

PF, UPND cadres at Memorial Park Editor,

It is really shameful that even at a cemetery, cadres can behave in such a way. Please, let us respect the dead/funerals. Violence does not pay. I would like to appeal to Home Affairs Minister, Mr. Kampyongo to deal with those cadres accordingly and without favor. Whoever was involved, either from the PF or UPND, deal with them! These cadres have gone beyond the boundary, this is lawlessness.

The barbaric acts by political cadres at the cemetery

Editor,

We strongly condemn the barbaric acts by political cadres at the cemetery. The place of our departed loved ones cannot be turned into a battle field. This is utter disrespect to the dead. I think we are in the midst of savages who lack morals, traditions and African cultures. No wonder they destroy things which affect them too. Bring to book these criminals regardless of the political party they belong to. The PF leadership has strongly condemned the act, thank you indeed. But what surprises us is the non-condemnation of all wrong acts by the UPND, why? Is the UNPD happy with satanic acts?

Unwarranted insults

Editor,

Nobody likes to be booed, including myself. Let alone, being insulted even for a clear fault of mine. The questions begging answers before ordering the arrest of β€˜insulters’ of the Honorable Reverend Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs are: did she commit any sin to warrant the insults? Why has any other minister not been insulted? How old in Government leadership is the Honorable Minister for some thick-lipped insulters to decide to make her dishonorable by hailing insults at her? As a God’s child, I believe she must be the last minister to be insulted. Madam, reflect.

Zambian govt a disappointment

Editor,

I am very disappointed with the Zambian Government for failing to empower its own people. I heard about the complaints of Vibwi’s local gold miners who have faced financial challenges and the lack of mining licenses. Why is it that the Government always wants to give licenses to foreign investors leaving out local people? It’s not fair, the Government must improve.

Our dark capital city

Editor,

I wish to appeal to Lusaka City Council to consider solar power to lighten our capital city which is ugly at night because of lack of street lights. It is a big shame that after 53 years of independence all the past Mayors of Lusaka kept fumbling on this issue. Can the current one make a difference, I wonder?
