A WOMAN narrated before a Local Court in Lusaka that her husband allegedly defecates and urinates in bedroom whenever he is drunk.
This is in a case in which Dorothy Namachila of Lusaka West sued her husband, Ellan Fisonga for divorce.
The two got married in 1995 and have four children.
Namachila told Senior Court Magistrate Abbyshine Michelo sitting with Magistrates Mubukwanu Matakala and Esther Mulomba at Kanyama Local Court that Fisonga drinks beer too much and that every time he drinks he batters her badly.
She explained that whenever Fisonga was drunk, he defecated and urinated in the bedroom.
Namachila added that Fisonga insulted her too much and that he iwa irresponsible and violent.
“I caught my neighbour making love with Fisonga. I assaulted the neighbour and compensated her but instead of Fisonga being on my side, he was defending the neighbour,’’ said Namachila.
In defence, Fisonga said that when he went to Malawi in 2014 for three months, Namachila blacklisted his phone number.
He explained that when he came from Malawi in 2015, Namachila has been refusing to make love with him by sleeping on separate beds.
Magistrate Michelo said that Namachila has been denying Fisonga conjugal rights showing that she has no love for him.
He granted the couple divorce without compensation but Fisonga was ordered to be paying children maintenance fee of K700 per month. Property acquired together would be shared equally.
