PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu says he did not take Mfuwe vacation to plan of reshuffling his cabinet Ministers.

And the Head of state as urged all civil servants and Ministers to share his vision of improving the lives of Zambians or risk being relieved of their duties.

Speaking in Lusaka at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA) when he arrived back from New York for the 70th United Nations General Assembly yesterday, President Lungu told Journalists that rumours that his holiday in Mfuwe was aimed at reshuffling his cabinet was false.

Answering to allegations that he was too lenient to take punitive action against his erring government officials and that people were expecting him to make changes in his cabinet when he came back from Mfuwe, President Lungu said he has not been availed with evidence of erring government officials to warrant their dismissal or reshuffles.

President Lungu said that he was a judge towards the political land scape of the executive of both the PF and government, adding that as a judge, he could not fire or reshuffle officials on rumours.

He stated that he can only fire or reshuffle government officials when there were sufficient facts and evidence that they have done something wrong.

“I didn’t go for a holiday in Mfuwe to plan or enquire against people who have done something wrong, but if you have evidence of anyone who has done something wrong bring it up, then I will follow it up.

“And if it’s in public domain, take it to the agencies of the state such as the police, ACC and so on. But I will not fire or punish people on rumours,” President Lungu said.

President Lungu further urged the civil servants to share his vision by ensuring that they deliver to the Zambians adding those that did not share his vision should resign.

He added that those who were there to frustrate his vision risked being relieved of their duties.

The President arrived at KKIA at around 16:00 hours and was received by senior government officials, senior service chiefs and senior party officials among other people.
