PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu is selfless and focused leader unlike other politicians that do things for their own benefit, says Kapiri Mposhi district commissioner, Peter Mwiinde.
Mr Mwiinde said Zambians have been looking for a President like Mr Lungu who is able to put food on the table through sound agricultural policies and road infrastructure.
Speaking to the Daily Nation in an interview, Mr, Mwiinde said Zambians needed a president like Mr Lungu who was unlike others who were just politicking around but focused on improving their wellbeing.
“President Lungu is different, he is a golden trophy because unlike other selfish politicians he is selfless and focused on putting food on the table for his people. He is not just politicking around as is the case with others,” said Mr Mwiinde.
He added that the Zambian people were not interested in people who were just politicking and self centred but in politicians whose interest were to offer them a service as required.
Mr Mwiinde. said those that were busy politicking without doing anything to benefit Zambians were literally making noise and wasting their time.
“When you talk of politics all the time without doing anything to benefit people, you are just making noise because people are not interested in mere politics but development,” said Mr Mwiinde.
Meanwhile, Mr Mwiinde. has commended Government for releasing funds towards the construction of the Lunchu bridge which he said was strategic to the farming district.
He said the bridge was cardinal to Kapiri Mposhi, which was a farming area because it would mitigate the challenges farmers faced in taking their produce to the market.
