PATRIOTIC Front youths in Lusaka have saluted the cease-fire between PF Kabwe Central law maker, Tutwa Ngulube and the party leadership.

This follows the announcement by PF secretary-general, Davis Mwila on Monday that the PF leadership and Mr Ngulube had put their differences behind and pledged to work together after the parliamentarian, who was at loggerheads with his own party apologised for his gross indiscipline. Mr. Ngulube has since apologised to the party and President Edgar Lungu for the hard-hitting comments he had been uttering in the media.

He also apologised to all PF members he might have offended by his utterances, as well as his move to take the party to court. Lusaka Province PF youth chairman Kennedy Kamba who commended PF secretary general Davis Mwila for amicably having resolved the misunderstanding between the two parties said the reconciliation was welcomed.

Mr Kamba however advised Mr Ngulube to keep his word and not go against what was discussed during the meeting.

“We are happy that the issue of Mr. Ngulube was sorted out, but we hope he will keep his words. We don’t want a situation where today he apologises and tomorrow he goes back to the old stories of demeaning the party,” Mr Kamba said.

Mr Kamba advised PF Members of Parliament who felt aggrieved or sidelined by the party to seek audience with the party leadership rather than rushing to the media for walk-in interviews to discredit government and party leadership.

Meanwhile, Mr Kamba reiterated that PF in Lusaka was intact, adding that the party had temporarily stopped activities due to the outbreak of cholera but once the disease is completely contained, the mobilisation and recruiting exercise will commence.

“We have temporarily stopped party activities due to the outbreak of cholera but once the disease is completely contained, we will be travelling to Luangwa with our national youth chairperson, Mr. Stephen Kampyongo to mobilise, recruit and empower our fellow youths in the rural Lusaka,” Mr Kamba disclosed
