THE ‘New Dawn’ Government must state its position on the video which has gone viral where a Zambian in  Manchester, United Kingdom (UK) has publicly gone into a gay marriage,  or else its silence may be misunderstood ,” the Patriotic Front (PF) has warned.

PF Copperbelt Deputy Media Director Munalula Moola said it was important that the ‘New Dawn’ government of President Hakainde Hichilema stated its position on the video which has gone viral.

Mr Moola was reacting to a video where  Wayne Mwenya Mulenga became the  first known Zambian to be officially involved in a gay marriage.

The marriage ceremony for the couple took place  in Manchester and Mr Mulenga  who is    running a home care facility called Prestige Nursing Home Care in the area, is hoping to celebrate the marriage in Zambia before his extended family.

But, Mr Moola said the PF, as a party , which out-rightly rejected homosexuality, was shocked that the UPND government was silent about one of its citizens getting involved in sinful kind of marriage which has been rejected by the Bible.

Mr Moola said failure by the ‘upright and holier than thou’ New Dawn Government to condemn such   sinful marriage, would be sending a signal that the newly-elected government was in support of homosexuality.

“Homosexuality is wicked, it is inhuman and this is why Human beings must not entertain it in the name of Human rights. No. Africans and Zambians in particular, should   not entertain  homosexuality because it is evil and against the teachings of the Holy Bible.

“This is why we want the UPND to categorically state its position on this issue, especially after that video which went viral. Failure by the ‘upright and holier than thou’ New Dawn Government to condemn such inhuman and sinful marriages will send a signal that it is in support of homosexuality,” Mr Moola said.

Mr Moola said Zambians should not give up their Christian faith by embracing cults and other ‘Dark Powers’ which embrace homosexuality and other evils which the Christian faith and the Bible generally does not allow.

He said former republican President Edgar Lungu believed in God and this was the reason why he was humble, understanding and tolerant despite people calling him all sorts of names.

“Former republican President Edgar Lungu is a true Christian despite that he had his own short comings like any other person, but he provided quality leadership which some objective and mature Zambians have started appreciating.

“Even those who booed him at Heroes Stadium are now saying he was a great leader,  it’s a matter of time, more will appreciate the leadership of Mr Lungu. For now, let us remain prayerful to defeat the wicked ways of the devil,” he said.
