THE Small Scale Farmers Development Agency (SAFADA) says as the agricultural sector grapples with the impact of erratic weather patterns, there is need for farmers to embrace conservation farming techniques to ensure good security and higher yields in the face of climate change.
Zambia like many other African countries has experienced increasingly unpredictable rainfall patterns.
SAFADA executive director Boyd Moobwe says this has put pressure on the agriculture sector which is one of the key pillars of the country’s economy.
