COPPER Queens’ physical trainer Donewell Yobe has arrived in Blantyre to take up his new appointment as fitness and strikers coach at top Malawi club FCB Nyasa Bullets.
Yobe, who arrived in Blantyre on Saturday will be the right hand man for former Chipolopolo coach Wedson Nyirenda who is the head coach for Nyasa Bullets.
“Yes I am in Blanytre with coach Wedson, engaged as fitness and strikers coach,” he said.
Yobe, who will sign a two-year contract, said Nyasa Bullets were a big team and therefore, he was going to work hard to help the Nyirenda and the team attain accolades.
He said the stint with Nyasa Bullets is also an opportunity to learn more and grow both as a coach and a person.
Lemekani Mwanza, the Power Dynamos’ video analyst is also expected to join Nyasa Bullets to complete Nyirenda’s backroom staff.
The holder of a Confederation of African Football (CAF) ‘B’ besides other relevant qualifications such as football science and fitness, sports science , sports health (diet and nutrition), has extensive experience in the MTN Super League.
He had stints with Napsa Stars (fitness coach),
Kansanshi Dynamos’ (fitness/assistant coach), Prison Leopards (first assistant coach to Justin Chinama) and the Under-20 national team( fitness coach).
