Better days are coming – PF
By ANDREW MUKOMA
ZAMBIANS should not lose their hope as there is still hope for better days, the Patriotic Front (PF) in Southern Province has said.
The ruling party said the Covid-19 has come with challenges and opportunities which Zambians should utilize especially the small scale farmers who now have chance to sell their produce to chain stores.
PF Southern Province Information and Publicity Secretary, Trymore Mweenda, said that the PF government was on top of things and would ensure that businesses were protected.
He was speaking when he featured on a live radio programme on Zambezi FM yesterday.
Mr Mweenda said Government was encouraging Zambians especially small-scale farmers to take advantage of the situation and produce enough and supply to the chain stores.
And Mr Mweenda has refuted assertions that the ruling party has been hijacked by former MMD members.
He said that it was wrong for some opposition members to claim that the ruling party had been hijacked because such political parties have former MMD members who are serving as Members of Parliament.
Meanwhile, some Livingstone residents appealed to Government to consider re-opening the Victoria Falls to the public.
The residents observed that the Victoria Falls was a key source of income.
Speaking when he called on a live radio programme on Zambezi FM, Eric Bunda, said that Government should consider re-opening the Victoria Falls to the public.
