YOUR level of indiscipline is now annoying us because President Edgar Lungu whom you are insulting every day is not your mate, freedom fighters have told off Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili.

Luanshya District Freedom Fighters Association chairperson Aaron Kambatika yesterday said as freedom fighters who fought for the liberation of Zambia, they were pained to see the level of insolence exhibited by Mr. Kambwili through his continued insults on President Lungu.

Mr. Kambatika said other than being older than Mr. Kambwili, President Lungu was the Head of State who must be respected by all Zambians and that there was need for Mr. Kambwili to show respect to him as his continued antagonism was becoming childish.

He said if Mr. Kambwili wanted to be president, he needed to accord the same respect that he would expect from the people to the one currently holding office.

“As freedom fighters, it pains us to see the levels of indiscipline and insults showered on the office of the President. In the first place, if one does not like the President, at least show respect to his office. The continued insults on President Lungu by Mr Kambwili are now unbecoming and childish.

And Chief Government Spokesperson Kampamba Mulenga has warned that  Zambians should not to be swayed by Roan Member of Parliament’s corruption allegations against Government.

Ms. Mulenga also dismissed Mr Kambwili’s allegations that the digital migration project was marred with corruption.

“Mr. Kambwili’s utterances are based on his bitterness and frustration, his accusations that President Edgar Lungu single sourced Star Times of China for the Digital Migration project are unfair and not to be condoned,” she charged.

She also clarified that the process used to contract StarTimes, was allowed in the procurement process and no objection was received from the Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA).

Ms. Mulenga further, reiterated that government has and will prudently spend funds for the digital migration project.
