JACK Chirwa’s second half goal inspired struggling Green Buffaloes FC to victory after beating Young Green Eagles 1-0 in a Week 25 MTN Super League fixture.
Chirwa slotted home the only goal from a sublime free kick from the edge of the box in the 70th minute to hand Buffaloes the crucial win.
The victory at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka redeemed Buffaloes from the 1-0 defeat suffered when they played leaguelLeaders Zesco United in their last Super League game.
This was Buffaloes’ fifth win of the season which propelled them to 26 points on the Super League table where they occupy 16th position.
Meanwhile, Power Dynamos held Green Eagles to a goalless stalemate at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
The draw denied Power Dynamos the chance to bounce back into the top four on the Super League table.
The Kitwe outfit maintain fifth position on the Super League table with 36 points while Green Eagles are 11th with 30 points.
