SG MWILA BOUNCES BACK

PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has reappointed Davis Mwila as Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General and implored all party members that applied for the membership of the central committee to accept the outcome and defend the results in the name of true party democracy, patriotism and loyalty.
President Lungu said there were no winners or losers when it comes to party leadership appointments and elections in PF.
He said the good and dedicated members of the party who applied and did not make it on the final list of the 54 members of the central committee must all know that there were no winners or losers in party leadership appointments and elections.
Speaking when he officially closed the PF general conference in Lusaka yesterday, President Lungu urged them to prove their allegiance and loyalty to the party by demonstrating their pride, love, devotion, and sense of attachment to the PF.
As long as you seek belonging to and working diligently for the party, he said, recognition and promotion awaits you at an opportune time.
President Lungu also accepted his election and endorsement as the PF presidential candidate for the general and Presidential elections.
Meamwhile, President Lungu also announced the reappointment of Mr Mwila as PF Secretary General, saying his patriotism and loyalty has paid off.
He commended Mr Mwila and his hard-working team for successfully organizing all the 10 provincial elective conferences for the party.
He urged him to continue with the task of uniting and mobilising the party towards the August elections.
