A 17 years old Juvenile has told the Choma Juveniles Court how he broke into a school dormitory and got away with a Television Set.
In this matter the boy is charged with Housebreaking and Theft contrary to sections 301 and 272 of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
Particulars of the offence are that the 17 year old boy broke into Niza Trust School dormitory with intent to commit a felony therein and stole a Television Set valued at K2, 000.
The incident happened on April 28, 2021 in Choma district of Southern province.
When the matter came up for plea before Resident Magistrate Selia Kanunka after several adjournments for non-appearance of parents before Court, the juvenile offender without any coercion pleaded guilty in front of his uncle.
He admitted to getting the television set without the permission of the School which he once was a pupil.
After entering a plea of guilty, the court adjourned the matter to a later date for Facts and Social Welfare Report.
The juvenile offender was remanded in custody.
