TRADE Kings Foundation has pledged to be supplying Oxygen to local hospitals throughout the Covid-19 pandemic period.

Speaking during the donation of various respiratory masks and hygiene products at the Levy Mwanawasa Hospital, Trade Kings Group Public Relations and Corporate Affairs Manager Bridget Kabombe   said the foundation is very much committed in supplying oxygen to all local hospitals when need arises.

And   receiving the donation, Levy Mwanawasa Senior Superintendent Dr. Penias Tembo expressed gratitude for the timely   donation during such a time as this. “The donation couldn’t have come at a more important time and our doors are always open to good gestures such as these,” said Dr. Tembo.

Dr. Tembo highlighted some of the challenges that the hospital is facing in this time of the pandemic and one of them being the issue of shortage of oxygen.

“There is one component that has troubled us lately and that is Oxygen,” said Dr. Tembo.

He said Oxygen is one component that is needed greatly for hospitals to function well in the country especially now.

Dr Tembo has urged Trade Kings Foundation not to tire but continue donating various accessories not only to Levy Mwanawasa Hospital but other health facilities as well.

Dr Tembo has also encouraged Zambians to change their attitudes towards the corovirus in order for it to be defeated.

And Ms. Kambobe said the donation was a demonstration of the importance that Trade Kings places on the lives of the Zambian people and the foundation and Trade Kings as a business are deeply concerned with the spread, infections and deaths that have continued to happen.

She has said the foundation has decided to supply oxygen in order to supplement the oxygen shortages that are being experienced in covid-19 centers.

Trade kings foundation has pledged to be supplying oxygen to different Covid 19 centers and that supply will depend on the availability of cylinders. The oxygen will be supplied through Universal Mining under Kafue Steel.
