The Zambia Chinese Association (ZCA) Executive President Wu Ming has praised the late President Dr. Kenneth David Kaunda for his sacrifice and commitment to the fight in the liberation of many African countries.
Speaking shortly after the burial of Zambia’s First President and Founding father at Embassy Park, Ming said Dr. Kaunda was a beacon of justice and peace and dedicated his life to the Liberation and development of Zambia and other African Countries,
He said ZCA will always cherish Dr. Kaunda’s contribution to the China Zambia relations which date back to the 60s.
“As Zambia Chinese Association, we are celebrating the Life of this great Leader. Dr. Kaunda was a friend to the Chinese people and was the founder of the Zambia China relations. He was and remains the pride of all Africans, a true statesman who fought hard for peace and the equality of all races,” emphasized Ming.
Ming also thanked President Dr. Edgar Lungu for continuing the legacy of Dr. Kaunda by further deepening the relations with the people of China, at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
“We will miss this great man, but he has left us with a legacy to love one another. We pray for the Kaunda family and the people of Zambia, so that God can give them strength during this trying time,” said Ming.
