..urges the police to probe Kanyama murders

Sunday..August 1 2021 (Smart Eagles)

The violence allegedly being perpetrated by the UPND is appalling and unacceptable to our democracy,Mr Samuel Banda has charged.

Mr Banda who is the executive director of The Advocates for National Development and Democracy (ANDD) notes that what happened in Kanyama were two PF supporters were allegedly murdered by UPND carders is beyond comprehension.

“Never before have we experienced such a display of violence by an opposition party in this country” Mr Banda observed.

He therefore urged the police to take control of the situation and maintain public confidence in our electoral system.

“Should the violence we are observing escalate, then the army should be brought in” he urged.

Mr Banda said it is clear that the Hakainde Hichilema has decided to use violence as a political strategy completely disregarding the rules and regulations of the Electoral Commission of Zambia.

He further said the silence from Mr Hichilema and his party leadership only serves to encourage party members to continue along this dangerous path of violence.

“The wanton lack of patriotism we are witnessing from a political party that intends to rule this country is unprecedented. At what point do we say enough is enough? Does HH have any love for a united Zambia? How many people should die in the name of politics before we say enough is enough” Mr Banda asked.

He has since called on Zambians not vote for the UPND because they have proved to be a danger to the country’s peace, unity and development.
