Akafumba desperate for a job, says NDC faction

By SIMON MUNTEMBA

JOSEPH Akafumba is frustrated that President Hakainde Hichilema did not appoint him as a minister and his last hope is to be considered for a District Commissioner position, NDC faction Secretary General Charles Kabwita has claimed.

Mr Kabwita said in his attempt to be recognised, Mr Akafumba has sponsored Mr Victor Mwangaila to report him and other NDC members for fake forgery case at Luanshya Police station.

He said in an interview that Mr Akafumba was desperately looking for a job from the new dawn government at the expense of the NDC which he was not even a member of. He said Mr Akafumba was a desperate politically impotent man who thrived on confusion to attract the attention of President Hakainde Hichilema to give him a job.

“Mr Akafumba is a father of confusion, he has influenced the young man Victor Mwangaila to turn against us just to be noticed by President Hakainde Hichilema. He is doing so to deceive HH and members of the UPND Alliance so that he can be appointed DC since he is frustrated that all the ministerial positions have been given,” Mr Kabwita charged.

Meanwhile, Mr Kabwita, who confirmed that he was reported for forgery by Mr Mwangaila, said he was scared because they knew from deep down their hearts that he signed himself.

He said “the complainant came with Mr Mwenye Musenge who initially wanted to deregister NDC but today claims to be its Secretary General.”
