RAINBOW Party Secretary General Wynter Kabimba has challenged President Hakainde Hichilema to tell the nation who bought ZAFFICO, ZNBC and NRDC as he claimed while in opposition.
Mr Kabimba said now that Mr Hichilema is the man in charge of the country’s affairs with full access to the information, he should quickly tell the nation the clear position on the transactions over the three matters he raised while in opposition.
In a statement issued by the party’s national spokesperson, Humphrey Kabwe, Mr Kabimba said the nation was anxiously waiting to know who bought ZAFFICO, ZNBC, NRDC and Zesco.
Mr Kabimba said: “Who are the people involved in those transactions, how much each organisation was sold? And what is the benefit to the people of Zambia?” He questioned whether it was just one of his campaign rhetoric or propaganda. “As a party, we urge President Hichilema not to remain quiet over this matter but rather demand a quick response over this matter.
The longer he remains quiet, the more speculation he creates in the minds of Zambians,” Mr Kabimba said.
