REDEEM YOURSELVES, EAST VOTERS TOLD

By SIMON MUNTEMBA

PF member of the central committee Raphael Nakacinda has challenged the electorate in Lusangazi to redeem themselves and restore their dignity by voting for the Patriotic Front in the forthcoming by-election.

And Mr Nakacinda has urged PF members not to despair but work hard to ensure the party returns to power in 2026.

Mr Nakacinda who is former Minister of Water Development and Sanitation said this in Lusan- gazi yesterday when he met wards and constituency officials.

He also challenged the party officials to “show former republican president Edgar Lungu love” by winning the local government by-election next month.

Mr Nakacinda said failure to win the forthcom- ing by-election would not only embarrass President Lungu but also show that the people of Lusangazi never loved him.

“Losing the forthcoming by-elections would be an embarrassment. That would make people more especially the UPND to tease President Edgar Lungu that even his own people rejected him. So let us win these elections to protect him from the embarrassment,” Mr Na- kacinda said.

The Electoral Commission of Zambia set October 21, 2021 as the dates for elections for Kaumbwe Constituency as well as Chisamba and Lusangazi districts councils and four local gov- ernment wards.

Meanwhile, Mr Nakacinda urged the PF members to remain strong as the party rebrands itself.
