DAVIES MWILA FUMES – I’LL KICK OUT MUTALE BEFORE I STEP DOWN

BY GIDEON NYENDWA
I WILL kick out Bizwell Mutale from the Patriotic Front (PF) if he doesn’t follow the party rules and regulations, before I step down, PF Secretary-General Davis Mwila has warned.
Mr Mwila in an interview said the campaign against PF vice president Given Lubinda that Mr. Mutale had embarked on was against the party’s constitution because if he was not happy with his appointment he would have used proper avenues to air his views that were provided for by the constitution.
He said in any organisation there were rules and regulations that members had to follow and if an individual chooses not to follow they risked being expelled from that organisation.
Mr Mwila said if Mr. Mutale had his own ideas on how the party should be run, he must also know that there are rules and regulations that the party should follow.
PF Mobilisation Committee member Bizwell Mutale has charged that he is ready to lead the party if members gave him the mandate and encouraged people to denounce old members who contributed to its downfall.
He said if Mr. Mutale did not want Mr. Lubinda, it was the general conference that was supposed to decide whether or not they wanted him, not just one person
Mr Mwila said article 52 of the party constitution was straight forward on the election of the president, as it indicated that the president could only be appointed by the general conference.
He said Mr. Lubinda was an ordinary member of the party but the president of the party used his constitutional powers and appointed him as vice president of the party.
“He was within his constitutional powers,” he said.
Mr. Mwila said Mr. Mutale should have respect for the vice president because he had been there for the party, he was almost killed in Kaumbwe when he was campaigning for the party but the people who were making noise were nowhere to be seen.
He said most of the people who were forced to be presidents of the party they had at one point left and insulted the party so they must humble themselves.
Mr. Mwila also said Mr. Mutale was just less than a year old in the party so he must try to follow the party rules and regulations at all cost or else he will be expelled.
“Mr Mutale’s expulsion will be the last expulsion I will have to do before I vacate my office,” he said.
