EFZ CONDEMNS UPND CADRES OVER VIOLENCE

THE Evangelical Fellowship Zambia (EFZ) has condemned the recent spate of violence involving suspected UPND cadres harassing and attacking members of other political parties.

Acting Executive Director Bishop Andrew Mwenda said that recent spates of political violence by suspected UPND cadres was unfortunate and needed to be condemned in the strongest terms.

Bishop Mwenda also implored President Hakainde Hichilema to ondemn violence by all cadres.

Bishop Mwenda said that it was time for Zambians to drop hooliganism and concentrate on politics of maturity.

“The President has shown seriousness and therefore the people around him should follow suit and ensure that they followed his directive,” he said.

Bishop Mwenda said that the revelations in Choma and Kitwe where suspected UPND cadres caused mayhem was uncalled for and needed to be condemned in the strongest terms.

He said that people needed to reflect and use the day of national prayers to help the country forge ahead in a peaceful manner.

“We have the National day of Prayers coming tomorrow we need to use this time to reflect as a country and do away with retrogressive tendencies that will not benefit the country,” he said.
