PF BOUNCING BACK IN 2026 – CHANDA

By KETRA KALUNGA

THE Patriotic Front (PF) is coming back into power in 2026 based on failure by the UPND government to uphold its campaign promises, Kanchibiya Member of Parliament Sunday Chanda has said.

Mr. Chanda said the former ruling party’s chances of bouncing back are high because not all the promises that the ruling UPND and its alliance made to the people are attainable. He said in an interview that information on the ground shows that some people have already started to doubt the fulfilment of the promises made by the UPND Alliance.

Mr Chanda, who is former PF media director said the UPND over-promised and time might work against them especially on promises made to the youth that played a major role in ushering them into office.

“The people who voted much are the youth, these include those in the informal sectors such as those working from the various mine dump sites and the streets who are eagerly waiting to see their lives changed,” he said.

Mr Chanda added that he foresees the unhappy UPND cadres who very soon would feel betrayed by the party they fought hard for to ensure that it wins the 2021 general elections. He said “people are not sure where we are heading and the UPND cadres who after escorting the President home are told go back, this might turn out to be a disaster,” he said.

Mr Chanda said the PF made mistakes that are being corrected as a rebranding process in readiness for a comeback and things on the ground are in favour of the former ruling party.
