A 26 year old woman has died after a tree fell on the vehicle where she was sitting in Mushindamo district.
According to North western province deputy commissioner of police Dr Fred Mulenga, the incident happened at a named farm in Kalilele area on Saturday around 12:00 hours and identified the deceased as Charity Mwewa.
“The incident was reported by Mofya Benard aged 45 of Chisana Village who reported that his wife Mwewa Charity aged 26 of the same village died after a tree fell on her,” said Dr Mulenga.
He disclosed that the tree fell to heavy wind while she was seated in a Toyota Prado registration number ACV 6849 belonging to Mr Phiri of Kabudi Extension Chingola.
He said the vehicle was extensively damaged with a deformed bumper, shuttered front windscreen and deformed top part of the body.
He said the body has since been transported to Chingola for burial process as no foul play was suspect
