PF FIRES ACTING NORTH- WEST BOSS AS MWILA CRACKS A WHIP

By SIMON MUNTEMBA
ACTING Patriotic Front North-Western Province chairperson, Benson Ng’ambo has been fired and replaced by Mr Davies Mbalau.

Mr N’gambo’s appointment was revoked for allegedly posting party internal matters on social media without authority from the secretariat.

Recently in an interview, Mr Ng’ambo told a local journalist that PF lost power because its leaders became so stubborn and some ministers were dishing out money without disclosing the source, and that the party promoted caderism.

Announcing the revocation of his appointment, PF Secretary-General Davies Mwila said the party had revoked the appointment of Mr Ng’ambo.
In a letter, Mr Mwila said, “I wish to revoke your appointment with immediate effect. This is due to your social media publications without authority from Secretariat.”
Mr Mwila also directed Mr Ng’ambo to surrender all party materials to the secretariat.

Meanwhile, Mr Mwila has expressed confidence that Mr Mbalau would manage to rebrand, restructure and rebuild the party in the region.
“As you are aware, out party has just lost the general elections which has left our members stunned and with many unanswered questions. Therefore, as acting Vice Provincial Chairman, you are expected to immediately start rebranding, restructuring and rebuilding out party to ensure that the structures are intact to withstand the challenges that lie ahead,” Mr Mwila said.

He added, “I wish you well as you take up this challenging position and hope that you shall discharge your duties diligently in the interest of the Province and the party at large.”
