THE imposing of mandatory Covid-19 vaccinations is unacceptable and is an agenda that is being championed by the western countries, says New Congress Party (NCP) President Peter Chanda.
He said it was evident that the agenda was being propagated by Western countries whose intentions of bringing the virus and vaccinations were unknown.
He said mandatory vaccinations were quite personal and that they needed to ensure that they educated people on constant wearing of masks.
Mr Chanda condemned the move and that in countries like Britain such pronouncements triggered serious protests from people.
He said there was no record of the Omicron variant in Zambia and that the move by government to impose vaccinations of all civil servants should not force people.
‘’I want to agree with Dr Nevers Mumba who also indicated that no human being should be injected with vaccines against their will and it is clear that human rights are being infringed,’’ he said.
He said even in South Africa where the variant had been discovered indicated that no one would be forced to be vaccinated but it will be done individually.
