We have information suggesting that there is interference or attempts to tamper with witnesses in the murder case of North Western PF Chairperson Mr Jackson Kungo, PF media and Publicity Chairperson Raphael Nakacinda has charged.Mr Nakacinda said that the witnesses in that case have reportedly being moved to Lusaka from Solwezi by a known UPND party security personnel popularly known as Mufwaya. The information has suggested that the witnesses have been reportedly accommodated at Parliament motel.Mr Nakacinda said that even the young lady who took that video that helped identify the perpetrators of the act that led to the death of Mr Kungo was reported to be in Lusaka and also being accommodated at parliament motel.Mr Kungo 39, was brutally murdered at Kyawama Polling Station on Thursday, August 12, 2021 by suspected UPND cadres on the pretext that he was in possession of pre-marked ballot papers.Mr Nakacinda said that the party fears that the Hatembo saga was going to repeat itself where the cause of justice was aborted through the process of abduction of witness and compromising witness. He has called on the police command in Northwestern province and in Lusaka to investigate these matters to make sure that those who were supposed to help the police and the court to bring to book those people who committed those deaths are protected.“That is the only way they can bring to book those that committed that murder,” he said.Mr Nakacinda said that they have the names of some members of parliament who were involved in this whole issue but the party wanted to make sure that the facts that they would present no person would deny their involvement .Meanwhile Mr Nakacinda that when he was summoned to the police a named minister allegedly led hooligans, thugs to the police station to cause mayhem.
