The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has come to the defence of FIFA referee Jani Sikazwe following his controversial handling of an AFCON fixture between Tunisia and Mali in which he is said to have ended the game before normal regulation time .
Sikazwe has come under spotlight world-wide after he blew the final whistle with one minute before the end of normal regulation time much to the annoyance of Tunisian players who were trailing by a goal to nil.But FAZ referees manager Aziph Banda charges that Sikazwe is the best referee in Zambia and that it was unusual for him to have officiated like in the manner he did.

He said FAZ felt could have been a problem that could have caused him to prematurely end the game .
Banda added that FAZ had spoken to the referee to get a full report as regards circumstances surrounding the match that he officiated
