Former Lusaka Province minister Bowman Lusambo spends night in police cells.

Bowman Lusambo spent Tuesday night in police cells after he was detained by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) following a warn and caution statement relating to an offence of being in possession of property reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime.

Lusambo’s wife Nancy, who braved the rains to check on Lusambo this morning told journalists that her husband was fine.

“He is fine. He is okay, “she said.

And Lusambo’s Lawyer Makebi Zulu told Hot FM that Lusambo was not beaten during questioning at ACC contrary to assertions by social media.

Zulu however confirmed that Lusambo had a swollen face when he was detained which he sustained from an illness he had.

His lawyer also complained that his client was made to wait for several hours before he was finally interviewed for 30 minutes.
