PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema and his new dawn government are committed to seeing the country unite under the One Zambia, One Nation philosophy, Siavonga member of Parliament Darius Mulunda has said.
Mr Mulunda expressed hope in an interview with the Daily Nation that the nation will heal under the leadership of the UPND, considering that within a few months of being in power the party has made tremendous steps aimed at eliminating barriers political segregation.
He said finally Zambians have a sigh of relief and are now living as one people.
Mr Mulunda said what used to happen under the PF regime where some regions were left out because of the way they voted should never be allowed again in the country.
He said the composition of the UPND administration especially at cabinet level is reflective of President Hakainde Hichilema’s desire aimed at ensuring that all tribes and regions participate in national governance and development.
“UPND government is a reflection and character of the 10 provinces of Zambia, and as a party we have vowed that never again shall this country be divided based on tribe and political beliefs and affiliation,” he said.
