IT is preposterous for anyone to suggest that I own 49 houses Patriotic Front (PF) Kabushi Member of Parliament Bowman Lusambo has said.
He has charged that the allegation was part of a smear campaign targeted at him because even the ACC only charged him for four properties.
“I do not own 49 properties, this accusation is just a campaign aimed at tarnishing my image because the ACC only charged me for having only four,” he said.
Mr Lusambo said the issue of the 49 houses was just used to dent his name in the court of public opinion and that was why they reduced the number to four.
He said it is for this reason that he would not spare the ACC for lying that he owned 49 houses just to embarrass him.
“I want to set the record straight. I do not have 49 houses. It’s a lie meant to embarrass me but I’m very sure that I will be exonerated,” he said.
The former Lusaka Province Minister during the Patriotic Front administration, has accused the ACC of playing to the gallery in the manner that they treated him and raising tension in the nation.
