ALL those vying for presidency of the Patriotic Front should work hard and ensure that they do not bring confusion in the party if they are to bounce back, the party’s national chairperson Davis Chama has said.
Mr Chama said he was aware that there were individuals who were eyeing the PF presidency but that it was their role to ensure that they promoted as the party was heading towards the June Convention.
He said the party needed to be united at all and all those well-meaning members of the party needed to ensure that they played their part in uniting the party.
“I know a number of people are vying for the presidency but this should not bring division in the party because if that was the case then the party would be destined for doom,” he said.
And Mr Chama said that the calls by some individauls that they were being sidelined to contest the presidency were neither here nor there and that those that met the criteria were free to do likewise.
He said that the party was all inclusive and that no one would be allowed to impose or even sideline their counterparts on whatever grounds.
“One thing I can tell you is that the party has remained united and just want to urge those that want to contest any position to do so freely without fear of anyone,” Mr Chama said.
