Lukulu girl’s body parts go missing in mortuary
Burial of a school girl in Lukulu was temporarily halted after family members allegedly found some body parts missing when they went to prepare the body, reports Lukulu Fm Community Radio 89.7.
The shocked family members refused to bury the girl because her finger nails and some hair was missing.
The family insisted that they needed to know where the parts had gone and who had removed them because when the remains were transferred to the mortuary, the body parts were intact.
The grade eight Pupil of Lukulu Boarding Secondary School, Enah Siyawa, died in Chitokoloki Mission Hospital in Zambezi district on May 27, 2022 where she was receiving treatment
The late Enah, a daughter to Lukulu based Mbungah Music Artist Smash was brought in to Lukulu district hospital mortuary Friday evening around 22:00 hours with all body parts intact, says the father.
But to their surprise, yesterday afternoon around 14:06 hours during preparation of the body at the mortuary, family members got shocked that girl’s nails and hair were missing.
Mr Smash, born Manyando Siyawa and his relatives refused to bury the late until the hospital management explained where missing hair and nails had gone.
The matter was reported at Lukulu police station by family members.
