HELP the UPND administration see that contrary to perception, you never abused public funds when you were in government, PF founding member, Mwenya Musenge has urged his colleagues in previous regime.
Mr. Musenge said the PF should be in the forefront of helping the UPND see through the perceived abuse of office so that they could be vindicated.
He said in an interview that time for the PF to defend itself over alleged abuse of office was now and they could only do so by helping the UPND administration see that they never abused power.
“If PF worked sincerely and cleanly, they should not worry but should be in the forefront to help the UPND see through that whatever they perceive to be abuse of office is not the truth,” he said.
And Mr. Musenga has urged the UPND administration in their quest to fight corruption not to overlook its mandate of improving the wellbeing of Zambians especially the poor.
He said since independence successive governments have literary failed to deliver to the poor because the numbers have kept increasing.
Mr. Musenge said the UPND should work extremely hard to improve the livelihood of the poor who are the majority.
“Generally, since independence, Zambian governments have literary failed to deliver to the silent majority especially the poor in society, this is where the UPND should work extremely hard to make this happen,” he said.
