We expect more nullifications, says GBM

By NATION REPORTER

THE PF expects two or more election nullifications in the coming few days in addition to the two losses already, PF national mobilisation chairperson Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM) has said.

Mr Mwamba said that he could not give the actual details of the constituencies but that the party knew that they would lose about one or two more seats.

“I can’t give you the exact seats we are going to lose but just watch the space and see what is going to happen in the coming days. I’m not far from the truth,” he said.

Mr Mwamba said that even the loss of the Kabushi and Kwacha seats was no surprise as the UPND had schemed to ensure that more seats were grabbed from the PF.

“We expected this but one thing I can assure you is that they are not going to grab these seats as long as I’m the party’s mobilisation chairperson,” he said.

Mr Mwamba said the machinations were because the ruling UPND wanted to reduce the opposition numbers in parliament so that they could pass controversial bills.

He said that he was confident that the people in the constituencies would show them that indeed they had voted for the right people.

“One thing I can tell you is that we are ready for UPND and we are going to take them head on come election day,” Mr Mwamba said. He said that the UPND were dead wrong if they thought they would use underhand methods to grab the seats of people who were duly elected.
