FORMER Patriotic Front deputy secretary general Mumbi Phiri‘s hopes of appearing in court suffered a major blow as she and co-accused murder suspect Shebby Chilekwa were omitted on the October cause list.
Lawyer Charles Changana said that his clients were again left out and would not be part of the people that were included for October.
Mr Changana expressed shock at the situation most especially that there were some cases that came after the duo but had been considered.
“I can confirm that once again my clients have been left out and they will not be appearing in October,” he said.
He said they were going to take action and ensure that justice prevailed because it was evident that there was a political hand at play.
Mr Changana said they had written a number of times to no avail and hoped that the committee would consider them but to no avail.
He said that it was unfortunate that Ms Mumbi was subjected to such treatment when she deserved justice.
