THE is not and there shall be no leadership crisis in the Patriotic Front (PF) and those pandering and wishing that the former ruling party should be divided should be ready to get disappointed because “we are strong and shall rise again and lead,” Davis Chama has said.
Mr Chama says although there were concerns about the Miles Sampa having dragged the PF to court over his suspension, the former ruling party had remained strongly unitedn despite machinations by some sponsored moles to distabilise the party before, during and after its elective general conference.
Mr Chama, the former Defence Minister said the injunction that Mr Sampa had obtained was a temporal and shall soon be resolved and the former ruling party would continue with its agenda or reclaiming the leadership of the country.
He said that at this point the party will have an opportunity to defend itself from the allegations levelled against it and its leadership.
He emphasised that there is absolutely no leadership vacuum in the party as Given Lubinda and Nickson Chilangwa have continued to fully execute their mandate as Vice President and Deputy Secretary General respectively as these are their substantive positions in the party.
He appealed to the members across the country not to be shaken following the happenings, but remain loyal to the party.
“I want to assure all our members that the party has and will continue to operate normally under the leadership of Mr Lubinda as bonafide Vice President of the party and that no one should cheat our members that the party is in paralysis,” said Mr Chama.
