PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Chairperson for Information and Publicity, Raphael Nakacinda has dispelled falsehoods surrounding the highly anticipated party extraordinary convention.
Mr Nakacinda explained that PF extraordinary general conference had attracted both negative interests and positive ones.
He said some individuals wished for the party not to emerge united and prayed for its destruction after the convention.
He said this when he addressed the media in Luanshya.
“Everybody must know that the general conference has attracted both positive interests and negative interests. We have our enemies and detractors who are wishing and pronouncing that the convention will lead to the destruction of the party.
“And, therefore, they will find all means to exert pressure on Patriotic Front to hold that conference based on their ill intent that possibly it will lead to destruction of the party. There are also others within the party who out of ignorance are peddling falsehood among ourselves suggesting that possibly there could be others with ill motives or hidden agendas surrounding the issue of the general conference,” Mr Nakacinda said.
He said the PF will only succeed if its members rose above personal interest and look at the interests of the party as well as the nation.
He said this should be the guiding principle on how PF is going to prevail towards the conference and how the event itself will be held.
