LEADER of the Opposition in Parliament,  Brian Mundubile says limiting former President Edgar Lungu’s freedom of association will never reduce the cost of living.

Mr. Mundubile,  who is also a PF Presidential candidate,  said Zambians were concerned about buying diesel at K29 per litre,  increase in Zesco connection fees from K750 to K14, 000, lack of medicine in hospitals, giving farmers fertiliser in plastic containers, commonly known as medas, silently allowing cadres in markets, high bus fares and cost of mealie-meal.

He said President Hichilema should not focus on Mr Lungu but address the high cost of doing business environment, reflect on traveling 32 times in just a few months in office and grand corruption such as illegal sugilite mining.

Mr. Mundubile said it was shocking to hear President Hichilema, who is a Church Elder, calling the Father of the Nation derogatory words such as “Ukutumpa.”

He said the Head of State cannot jail Mr Lungu because he has never blocked a Presidential motorcade, like Mr Hichilema did to a sitting President.

Mr. Mundubile said President Hichilema’s level of bitterness against Mr. Lungu would be enough to develop Zambia if converted towards development.

He said President Hichilema should not be scared of Mr. Lungu but the people of Zambia and that politics should never be about personal grudges but delivering on campaign promises.
