GREEN Buffaloes Futsal Club coach Lumano Peter has promised that his club will fight for the FAZ premier Futsal League title next season after an impressive campaign during the 2022/2023 season.
Buffaloes, who were making a maiden appearance in the FAZ PFL competed fairly and finished among the top-ranked teams in the PFL won by Lusaka Automotive Futsal Academy.
Lumano said Buffaloes gained enough experience needed to fight for the league title next season after an impressive maiden campaign.
Lumano said Buffaloes who are yet to begin preparation for the new season will prepare adequately to come back stronger.
He said Buffaloes will give the favourites stiff competition next season because their aim is to fight for the title.
Lumano hailed the Zambia Army for supporting and providing the futsal team with the needed resources to compete in the league.
Meanwhile, Lumano is happy that two of his players made it into the 17-member national Futsal team squad which is in camp preparing for the eight nations international futsal championship slated for Croatia.
National coach Andrea Cristoforetti summoned the Green Buffaloes duo of Mathew Simbeye and Timothy Mwamba in his squad which regrouped two weeks ago
Lumano said it is every coach’s dream to see his players making progress and being called for national team duty.
