ICONS JET IN – More stars arrive for exhibition match

It is all systems go as foreign-based Afcon winning 2012 Chipolopolo legends have arrived in camp ahead of the much-anticipated exhibition match against Barcelona Legends tomorrow at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

Rainford Kalaba, Franscis Kasonde, Nyambe Mulenga, Joshua Titima, Nathan Sinkala, Jonas Sakuwaha and Clifford Mulenga have all joined camp.

Others who have reported in are Kennedy Mweene, Collins Mbesuma, Noah Chivuta and China-based Stophila Sunzu was expected to arrive late yesterday.

And speaking upon arrival, the players said that this game has invoked memories of their Afcon 2012 winning exploits.

Meanwhile, 2012 AfCON winning midfielder Chisamba Lungu has described playing against his idol Ronaldinho as a dream come true. Lungu nicknamed Chisambadinho for his dribbling skills similar to those of the Brazilian icon said playing against Ronaldinho along with other football legends will also inspire other young players.

Lungu said the game offers a good platform to honour the 2012 Afcon champions who for a long time have been calling on the government and the country to honour them.

Lungu said it is good that the team has been honoured for the glory they brought to the country 

The Chipolopolo midfielder said this during a training session at the Barcelona Academy.
