ballots ready – ECZ

THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) is today expected to announce the tender for the printing and delivery of ballot papers, ballot paper posters, blind voter templates and announcement forms for the next three years.
Speaking during a media briefing yesterday, ECZ acting Chief Electoral officer Bob Musenga said the tender is open to all eligible bidders, both local and international.
Mr Musenga said the tender shall be administered following the rules under open international competitive bidding procedures as provided for in the Zambia Public Procurement Act number 8 of 2020 and Procurement Regulations of 2022.
He said bidding document would be obtained from the Zambia Public Procurement Authority e-GP System, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of K1, 000.00.
Meanwhile, Mr Musenga has said the ECZ registered 3,038 voters in the month of August, 2023.
Mr Musenga said out of the 3, 038, and 1,664 were male while 1,374 are females.
