ACC quiz Kakubo

By NATION REPORTER

STANLEY Kakubo was yesterday quizzed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) for allegedly shortchanging Chinese nationals over a mine deal from which it is alleged the former Foreign Affairs Minister received US$870, 000 and a luxurious Mercedes Benz.

The Chinese national who had entered into an investment agreement with Mr Kakubo blew the deal after they were stopped from commencing their mining activities through a court injunction by Grizzly Mine that had an interest in the mine.

But after months since his resignation from his Cabinet portfolio, Mr Kakubo was yesterday summoned by the ACC where he was reportedly quizzed for corruption.

Mr Kakubo was accompanied by his lawyers, Dickson Jere and Charles Siamutwa
