THE UPND government has continued with its rhetoric and storytelling government which has delivered nothing but successfully worsened poverty and hunger among citizens.

Munalula Moola the Patriotic Front (PF) Copperbelt secretary said majority Zambians were labelling the UPND government to be a ‘New Story government ‘ because they were getting agitated by the cheap political rhetoric ebing propagated by the UPND.
In an interview, Mr Moola said Zambians were tired of the sweet talk from the UPND government which was now becoming irritating because of the sky-rocketing cost of living, shrinking business and employment opportunities due to the failure by government to manage the mining, agriculture and other sectors of the economy.
Mr Moola said Zambians were demanding a practical aspect of the UPND campaign promises or they were ready to vote back the PF and former President Edgar Lungu which had set a firm stage for poverty alleviation, food security, economic recovery and national development.
“Zambians had given the UPND enough time to set the stage for poverty alleviation, food security, economic recovery and national development, but nothing has happened, apart from cheap political rhetoric, political persecution of political rivals and putting in place chaotic macroeconomic policies.”
“This UPND government may end up to be the worst government so far because from the time it formed government it has just been waffling and doing nothing tangible to point at. Literally nothing. It is just good at rhetoric and storytelling,” Mr Moola said.
Mr Moola said it was shameful and disappointing that UPND Ministers, who were expected to facilitate business opportunities for their cadres to become economically empowered, were facilitating their own business opportunities to while their cadres continue to wallow in poverty and hunger.
He said the UPND had proved to be a greedy and selfish government which has not only failed to look after its own cadres, but the entire nation as evidenced by the worsening poverty and hunger in various communities.
He said, even as the year 2024 begins, the UPND government has nothing to offer to the majority poverty stricken Zambians, apart from lies and cheap political rhetoric which was agitating many Zambians who cannot wait to vote back the PF in government.
“PF ministers used to facilitate sub-contracts in many projects the PF undertook in many parts of the country, but for the UPND ministers are so greedy and selfish such that they cannot facilitate a lucrative deal for their youths.
He said the UPND had lamentably failed to fulfil its campaign promises and so it had resorted to silencing whoever was pointing out its failures, especially the worsening poverty and hunger in communities and the failure to manage the mining and agriculture sector.
