BUSINESS expert Francis Chipili has appealed to the government to support small-scale farmers to grow winter maize.
Mr Chipili said with the looming hunger situation in the country due to drought, venturing in winter maize would be the way to go.
Mr Chipili said the indications were clear that Zambia would have less maize stock due to drought, therefore, the government need to help the small-scale farmers financially so that the winter maize production can be achieved.
He said small-scale farmers were facing financial difficulties, and the government could help farmers by ensuring that resources were made available in a bid to make the country food secure. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE
