A LOCAL Government Service Commission senior official has been accused of having fraudulently received more than K34, 000 as allowances for workshops he never attended, a trail of documents has disclosed.
Documents made available to the Daily Nation reveal that the named senior official has also been accused of abusing his office by paying himself allowances amounting to K33, 296. 54 for workshops held within Lusaka at the Lusaka City Council Hall.
Lusaka City Council whistleblowers are now demanding that the said senior officer should have his contract immediately terminated because according to them, there was a possibility that he would destroy evidence and tamper with the date.
