THE prestigious 2024 Kuomboka traditional ceremony that took place last weekend could have ostensibly been thrown into chaos as President Hakainde Hichilema also decided to attend the ceremony that was expected to be graced by the Mwinelubemba, the Paramount Chief Chitimukulu whom the Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE) had earlier invited as its guest of honour.
In what turned to be melodramatic following the announcement by the UPND government that President Hichilema was also planning to travel to Barotseland for the Kuomboka ceremony, the BRE bigwigs distanced themselves from having invited him.
